Unit 3: Principles of managing information and producing documents

This unit explains the purpose of information technology in a business environment and outlines the procedures for producing documents that are fit for purpose. Learners will also look at the ways of managing electronic and paper-based information.

Unit 4: Principles of supporting change in a business environment

Learners will gain a thorough understanding of why change happens in a business environment and the different ways to respond to these changes. This includes considering the importance of responding positively to changes in a business environment.

Unit 5: Principles of supporting business events

This unit focusses on the organisation and importance of business events and the roles and responsibilities that an administrator would have in relation to an event. For example, the support they would need to provide when an event is being organised, the professional and helpful behaviour they are expected to display and how to deal with problems at business events.

Unit 6: Principles of project management

Learners will develop their understanding around project work in this unit by looking at the difference between routine work and project work.

They will also learn how to prepare and plan for a project and how to monitor and evaluate project work.
