About this course
Freud's theories have profoundly influenced the practice of counseling and therapy for over a century. While many think of only classical psychoanalysis, many different theories and approaches have evolved from Freud's theories. This course will discuss psychoanalytic and psychodynamic theories of counseling and therapy. Not only will the discussion include an overview of the current range of theories considered to be psychoanalytic or psychodynamic but also a breakdown of key aspects of each theory and an exploration of significant similarities and differences.
