About this course
Schizophrenia is the most catastrophic of all psychological disorders and affects about 2.5 million individuals in the United States alone. It typically begins in young adulthood and can impair social relationships, thinking, and health. Schizophrenia falls along the diagnostic spectrum in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual with other psychotic disorders. While all of these disorders share similar traits, such as hallucinations and delusions, there are clear differentiations between them. This course will discuss schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, their causes, diagnoses, treatments, and how to differentiate between them.
