About this course
Carl Rogers developed person-centered counseling in the middle to latter decades of the 20th century. A person-centered approach to counseling is based on a humanistic philosophy that assumes people are inherently growth seeking and capable of leading fulfilling, productive lives. This course will provide an overview of person-centered counseling, including the history of the theory, core concepts, theory application, and how a person-centered method of counseling compares with other therapeutic orientations.
