SCS09 Childhood Socialization: Media and Technology Roles

School-aged children use technology daily, and media and technology is rapidly changing becoming more advanced almost by the day. Media and technology impacts children's lives in astounding ways, particularly because children spend a majority of their days at school and home accessing media. The Internet combines print, audio, and screen media into one easily accessed portal and has changed the way children socialize. This course will discuss the role that media and technology plays in the lives of school-aged children and the impact both media and technology have on socialization outcomes.
