About this course

Research has shown that early social-emotional development sets the foundation for positive or negative relationships in the future, self-esteem, coping skills, conflict resolution, and working with others. Children all develop differently, as early social and emotional development depends on many factors within genetics and the environment. This course will discuss what is included in normal social and emotional development, how to promote positive development in young children, and how to identify and intervene in negative behavioral health with children, families, and other professionals.
