About this course
This qualification is suitable for fitness professionals which already work with, or would like to work with, older adults (65+ years). The demand for physical activity and exercise suitable for older adults is continuously increasing with emphasis being placed on it helping to maintain independence and wellbeing. The Department of Health (2011) released exercise guidelines specifically for older adults which supports the importance of physical activity and exercise in this demographic group. If you would like to expand on your knowledge, skills and competence to safely plan and adapt exercise for independently active, older people in an unsupervised manner then this is the course for you.
