Assessment
The course contains a number of assignments which your tutor will mark and give the student valuable feedback on. These are called Tutor Marked Assignments (TMAs).
Examinations
AS Level
- Unit 1: GEOG1 Physical and Human Geography- Written examination: 2 Hours
- Unit 2: GEOG2 Geographical Skills- Written examination: 1 hour
A2 Level
- Unit 3: GEOG3 Contemporary Geographical Issues- Written examination: 2 hour 30 minutes
- Unit 4: either: GEO4A: Geography Fieldwork Investigation, or: GEO4B: Geographical Issue Evaluation- Written examination: 1 hour 30 minutes
AS + A2 = A level in Geography. Both AS and A2 level courses and examinations must be successfully completed to gain a full A level.
