About this course
Leadership has often been portrayed from a hierarchical perspective, with the leader at the top and followers below. Horizontal leadership styles, designed to be collaborative and egalitarian, has been found to be more effective when working with teams. Leadership changes with a team due to different structures, and leaders must approach teams differently in order to be effective. This course will discuss when and how teamwork can be used effectively in organizations, how leaders can develop effective teams, and how teams and leaders are often instruments of organizational change.
