ITL01 Effective Leadership

What does it mean to be a good leader, and are leaders made or born? These are questions that practitioners and researchers continue to ask. The answers to these questions may not be as simple as they seem. Even defining leadership is a complex task. Identifying what makes a leader and how to measure his or her effectiveness is an important area of organizational research that continues to grow. This course will discuss the traits that make a good leader, how to identify leaders through various theoretical lenses, and methods of assessing whether a leader is effective in his or her job.
