About this course

This is course is for those that wish to learn how to install Wordpress on an Amazon EC2 server. In the course you will learn how to install PHP5.5, MySQL 5.5 and Apache 2.4 via the command line, using the yum package manager.

There's 5 video lectures, as well as quizzes along the way to ensure you've understand. It should only take 30 minutes to watch the whole course, but to fully understand and to get yourself up and running it may take you longer.

If you're just starting out and would like to learn about Amazon Web Services, and would love to be able to install PHP &amp MySQL yourself then you should definitely look into this course!

What are the requirements?

  • A good understanding of the Internet
  • A basic understanding of 'servers'. i.e. you already have someone host your website, and you have a domain name
  • This course assumes you have a terminal, and in the videos I use a Mac. Linux/Ubuntu is fine too, but if you're trying to follow this on Windows you may struggle, unless you are comfortable setting up Putty
