About this course

This qualification provides the knowledge and skills to be able to safely and effectively plan, delver and evaluate health-promoting exercise sessions that are specifically designed for individuals suffering with medical conditions. Successful achievement of this qualification will enable the fitness professional to exercise such clients, perhaps in a community-based exercise setting or within a standard gym-based environment.

GP’s and other medical professionals, often encourage patients with various medical complaints to embark on an exercise regime, and many local authorities cater for this need by delivering health-promoting exercise classes in suitable venues.

Possessing the Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral enables the fitness professional to teach such classes, as well as making them the ideal candidate to train such ‘higher-risk’ clients in gym-environment when working as a Fitness Instructor or Personal Trainer.

Achievement of the Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral provides entry onto the Register of Exercise Professionals at Level 3. This qualification is ideal for individuals who have already obtained the Level 3 Certificate (or Diploma) in Personal Training as a means to progress their careers and potentially increase their employability and earning potential.
