About this course
Yoga involves a series of positions and stretches aimed at training both the body and mind. It has become a very popular approach for individuals of all ages to promote health and fitness within gym environments, studios, sports halls, parks, or in the home.
The Level 3 Diploma in teaching Yoga uses a combination of online learning and practical workshops to give fitness professionals the knowledge and skills needed to safely and effectively plan and deliver Yoga classes.
The qualification looks at the physical and emotional benefits of Yoga, the importance of correct breathing during Yoga positions, and its application for promoting relaxation and stress reduction. At the end of this qualifications attendees should understand the underpinning principles of teaching Yoga, the different components present within a well-structured class, and be able to competently deliver a range of Yoga positions in a progressive manner.
The course is therefore aimed at any fitness professional as a means to potentially venture into employment within a group-exercise setting as a Yoga teacher, and receive the associated financial benefits. Achievement of this qualification will also expand the skill-set of the trainer (for use during one-to-one or group-training), enhancing their CV, and improving their reputation and functionality within a fitness environment.
