About this course
Fitness professionals are increasingly employing the use of Suspension training within exercise programmes and across a range of different fitness environments, such as during gym-based exercise sessions, group exercise classes, or Personal Training sessions in less conventional settings such as parks or in the home.
The Level 2 Award in Suspension Training uses a combination of online learning and practical workshops to give learners the knowledge and skills needed to effectively instruct this unique training method during one-to-one or group training.
The course covers the fundamental exercise techniques, the benefits of employing suspended movement training, the unique biomechanics involved, and its implications for core stability development. At the end of this course attendees should be able to justify the use of suspended movement training based on relevant physiological and biomechanical principles, and competently deliver a range of suspended movement training exercises.
The course is therefore aimed at any fitness professional who currently possesses a Level 2 fitness qualification (or above) as a means to potentially venture into employment within a group-exercise setting as a Suspended Movement Training Instructor, and receive the associated financial benefits.
Achievement of this qualification will also expand the skill-set of the trainer (for use during one-to-one or group-training), enhancing their CV, and improving their reputation and functionality within a fitness environment.
